Happy Fall!

We are having so much fun this season! We didn't go trick or treating but we did have fun at a local carnival and a party with friends. 

Carter is growing so much and moving moving moving! Well, he's not crawling but he LOVES jumping, rolling and just being happy :) He is also big into eating, which is good because he is a skinny boy! He is now seven months old (I know crazy!) and has recently weighed in at 17.4 lbs.

Being read to and looking at books is a favorite pass time of Carter's. It's one of the only times when he holds still.

We took a trip to Utah in October to see family. 

Ben's brother Jesse was in a 5k race. Ben was the designated photographer/videographer and me and Carter just had fun watching. It was a pretty cool race. It's called Hit and Run. There were a bunch of different obstacles the runners had to get through (similar to the show wipeout).   

    

After the race we stopped at this science museum in Salt Lake. It was pretty neat.  

  

       

And of Course we stopped at Temple square. Carter loved being outside and seeing everything. 

Carter is getting super interactive! It's fun seeing what things make him laugh. 

Jumpin Boy

Wow, Carter has grown so much in the last few weeks! Somehow, he went from being around 14 lbs to over 16 lbs in just two weeks. I don't know how he did it. 

Carter's new favorite activity has been jumping. Grammy and Grandad let us borrow a jumper and he LOVES it!!! Usually when he gets tired of something he cries or fusses to let us know he's done. Not with the jumper. 

We bought a bread maker at a garage sale for $15. What a deal! Ben is super excited to make lots of bread but so far all of our loafs end up with sunken tops. Not sure why. 

We did find a new favorite meal. Homemade pizza! It's really good and pretty easy.

What's New?

It's finally here! The Rhodes Family Blog!!!! haha I've been trying to start a blog for about a year now so, this is a pretty exciting day. (I know... Terrible) 

Right now we're on summer break. Ben is working pretty much three different jobs. He got hired on at the Mayor's office to do some work for something called Envision Madison. He is also doing an internship with Senator Risch down in Idaho Falls. And, on top of all that he is studying like crazy for the LSAT which, he hopes to take in October. 



Carter and I are working very hard to learn new skills like rolling over, chewing food and sitting up. (Well, Carter is learning them i'm just helping him :) He is such a smart little guy! I know most moms will say that about their kids but i'm sure mine is different. ;) He is an excellent sleeper! Occasionally he'll wake up around 3 or 4 wanting to eat but, other than that he is an expert. He is four months old now, weighs  13.8 lbs. and is 26.3 in. tall. (Which is the 90% for hight and the 28% for weight) Growin fast! 



The new excitement in our life right now is baby food. Carter started rice cereal and carrots this week! He's doing an awesome job at learning to coordinate opening his mouth and moving his tongue. It's pretty funny to watch.
